What Should I Do?
How to Report an Assault?

Help

In the event of a sexual assault:
1 MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN A SAFE LOCATION,
then get to a phone and call the SACC, the police (911), or the Rape, Abuse, Incest National Network at 1-800-656-HOPE to
be connected to the sexual assault crisis center nearest you.

2. DO NOT CHANGE YOUR CLOTHES OR TRY TO BATHE,
because your clothing and your body could provide
valuable evidence.

3. GO TO THE NEAREST HOSPITAL
so that the necessary exams can be done and
evidence collected — not only to find the perpetrator but also
to ensure your own health.
